a second
maybe two
floating in eternity
you are here
suspended in time with me
it is but a moment
a mere fraction of anything
yet I remain frozen
unable to move
afraid to even breathe
if this is only a dream
daring to reach for you
I might touch nothing

time can fool one
the unsuspecting
caught by love's embrace

is that your heart beating
or mine
God help me it is loud
it moves within me
like thunder
