if something can be done
to sabotage and destroy
willingly or not
I know you are there
standing there smiling at me
shaking your head in disbelief
of all I say
you make it so hard to be angry
do you not believe me?
before you I was-
not who I am now

is a place I wish never to see again
now my failures matter so little
tears never fall for too long

holding out a hand to me
inviting me to share
something I did not believe in
