In time
you have told me
all will be revealed
the answers to questions
the meaning to it all
in time
we will understand
and accept
the pain and the death
the sadness and the loss
in time
good will overcome
the evils of this world
light defeating darkness
and true peace will reign
in time
you will return to us
and take us home
to where there is no need
no want
in time
we might forget the pain
our souls fill with joy
and serenity
walking with you
I wonder at this world
how long can we exist
this way
using and destroying
selfish and stubborn
unwilling and ungiving
I pray
there will be a way
to save us
in time
