In dark of night
by mystic glow
of full moon light
all the world below
awakens to the sight
things magical of yore
what you might dare imagine
there for the show
witches on broomsticks do fly
ghosts and demons
wanting to trick
black cats with eyes so bright
things dark and scary
waiting to give you a fright
wait-did you see that?
perhaps it was nothing..
I could be wrong
their time comes but once a year
so you've really nothing to fear
lest you venture too far
and shadows lure you
from what is right
careful now
or you just might
vanish from sight
