A dreamer can dream
a thousand dreams
each of unique beauty and promise
yet a dream alone can do little
like me without you
my best moments
are spent with you
in the warmth and safety
of your presence
yet it does not last long enough
I would be with you forever
if it were posssible
my heart goes with you
wherever you might travel
I want no-one but you
I look for a glimpse of you
in any other I might encounter
whatever they might be
they are not you
and what is a mere moment of joy worth
should I lose the one
I might wish to share my life with
should my trust be misplaced
it would shatter my heart
for I am only just beginning
to truly believe
